The Chawama community in Lusaka has received a significant boost in healthcare access and infrastructure with the commissioning of a maternity annex and newly rehabilitated roads, funded by the Chawama Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The maternity annex, built at a cost of K1.6 million, will serve hundreds of women in the ward and surrounding areas. The upgraded roads will improve mobility and access to essential services for residents.
Local leaders and residents praised the projects, citing the positive impact on healthcare outcomes and quality of life.
