A 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) grant beneficiary under Mandevu Constituency, Mr. Phineas Walukowa of Kabanana Ward 27, has commended the Government for the continued support towards youth empowerment through the CDF initiative.
Evalasting Youth Club, a cooperative group comprising 10 members (both men and women), was among the 113 cooperative groups in Mandevu that benefitted from the 2025 CDF allocation, which disbursed over K2.4 million in grants.
The group received K22,000.00 which they invested in a poultry farming business. With the funds, they purchased 170 chicks and have since begun their operations. According to Mr. Walukowa, the project is progressing well, and the chickens will soon be ready for sale.
Mr. Walukowa expressed profound gratitude to the Government, stating that the empowerment has significantly improved their livelihoods. He noted that the support has not only created employment within the community but has also enabled members to educate their children and enhance their economic stability.
The Government continues to empower communities through the CDF, enabling them to prioritize and implement development projects that directly benefit their constituencies.
