The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in partnership with the World Bank and the Smart Zambia Institute under the Devolution Support Programme, has conducted a five-day training workshop on Website Content Management and Cybersecurity.
The workshop, held from November 24th to 28th, 2025, targeted Information Technology and Public Relations personnel from Lusaka, Southern, Western and Eastern provinces, with the training to continue with officers from other provinces next week.
The training aimed to enhance capacity for effective online service delivery, improve communication and strengthen digital information security across Local Authorities.
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Director of Information Communication Technology (ICT), Judith Beene, urged participants to foster collaboration between IT, PR and all Council departments to facilitate efficient digital data management and information sharing with the public.
Officers from the Lusaka City Council were among those who participated in the workshop.
