Lusaka365 has announced that it will soon undertake the Independence Avenue Heritage Walk, a strategic pilot initiative designed to promote urban heritage tourism, enhance public cultural awareness and diversify Lusaka’s tourism product landscape.
This was revealed when the organisation paid a courtesy call on Lusaka Mayor-Elect, His Worship Mr. Chitambala Mwewa, today who has fully endorsed the initiative and has called on all well-meaning residents to heed the call and offer their support.
The walk will follow proposed routes that highlight significant national heritage sites. As part of the activities, a cleanup and tree planting exercise will also be undertaken to add value to the event.
