In a bid to showcase the impact of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Lusaka City Council’s District Planning Officer (DPO), Mr. Ronald Ngala has led a team of Council Officers on a tour to document bursary success stories from pupils and students sponsored through CDF under Munali Constituency.
The exercise aims to highlight the transformative impact that CDF has had on learners and learning institutions. It also seeks to inform the general public on the importance of CDF, appreciate the learning environment, identify challenges and verify the presence of Munali beneficiaries in various institutions.
So far, institutions visited include Northern Technical College (NORTEC), Technical and Vocational Teachers’ College, Kabwe Institute of Technology and Macha Secondary School.
During the tour at Kabwe Institute of Technology, Mr. Ngala told Principal Officer Dr. Enerst Mubita that this visit was different from previous ones, noting that the focus was on documenting how CDF has positively transformed students’ lives and contributed to institutional development.
“We are not only documenting bursary success stories but also assessing how the implementation of CDF has improved the learning experience and livelihood of our students,” said Mr. Ngala.
Other institutions scheduled for visits include Choma Secondary School, Rusangu Secondary School, Luangwa, Secondary School among others.
The documentation team comprises the Munali CDF Committee Chairperson, Mr. Auditor Mazuba, an Auditor, Socio-Economic Planners and the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer assigned to Munali Constituency.
